'Tumko kuch nahi pata' : MS Dhoni Shares a Funny Cricket Moment with Sakshi

MS Dhoni Shares a Funny Cricket Moment with Sakshi : When it comes to discussing the greatest captains in cricket history, MS Dhoni’s name is always part of the discussion. He’s also regarded as one of the finest wicketkeepers the game has ever seen. Many legendary cricketers worldwide admire his deep understanding of cricket. So, it would be both surprising and amusing if someone suggested Dhoni was unaware of cricket rules, particularly wicketkeeping ones. Yet, Dhoni himself faced such a comment, and it came from his wife, Sakshi.

After retiring from international cricket, Dhoni is now only active in the IPL. Outside of the IPL season, he participates in various events as a guest, where he shares his cricketing insights and discusses different aspects of life. During one such event, Dhoni shared a humorous experience involving his wife, Sakshi, which had the audience laughing.

You don’t know anything : Sakshi to Dhoni

A viral video of Dhoni captures him sitting on stage during an event, narrating this humorous incident. He explained that he and Sakshi rarely discuss cricket at home, but on one occasion, while watching an ODI match, they ended up in a conversation. Dhoni explained that a batsman was stumped off a wide ball, which was out according to the rules of Cricket.

As soon as Sakshi saw this, she said, “That’s not out,” even though the batsman was already walking back to the pavilion. Dhoni tried explaining that stumping on a wide ball is valid, unlike on a no-ball. To this, Sakshi quickly replied, “You don’t know anything!” Dhoni’s explanation of the story caused the entire hall to burst into laughter. He further added that when the third umpire confirmed the stumping, Sakshi commented, “There must be something wrong with the rule.”

Dhoni to return in IPL 2025

While this story will surely bring smiles to Dhoni’s fans, the bigger joy for them comes from the news that “Captain Cool” will return to the field in the next IPL season, playing for Chennai Super Kings. In a recent interview, Dhoni mentioned that he wants to enjoy the remaining cricket in his career. This statement cleared any doubts about his participation in the IPL 2025 season. An official announcement is expected to be made on October 31, which is deadline of IPL retention.
