Mohammed Shami Ready to Make His Comeback for India in Australia

The return of Mohammed Shami to the Indian cricket team is eagerly awaited. Currently one of the team’s top fast bowlers, Shami has been out of action due to an injury. However, he recently shared an update, confirming that he’s fully fit and ready to play in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. However, before that, he might take part in one or two Ranji Trophy matches to regain match fitness.

Shami mentioned that he’s bowling at full intensity and is no longer experiencing any pain. He also conveyed his desire to be completely prepared before traveling to Australia.

According to a report, Shami stated, “I’m no longer experiencing any pain. I felt great during an intense bowling session in Bengaluru yesterday. I want to make sure I head to Australia well-prepared, so I’ve planned to play one or two Ranji Trophy matches.”

Cricket fans are excited to see when Shami will feature in the Ranji Trophy and how he performs. These games will be crucial in demonstrating his match fitness, and Ranji presents a strong platform for his return to the national team.

Hasn’t Played in Nearly a Year

It’s worth mentioning that Shami hasn’t played a competitive match in almost a year. His last game for India was on November 19, 2023, in the ODI World Cup final. Since then, he has been working diligently on making his comeback.
